"I fly because it is the ultimate expression of freedom. Flying is the freedom from the constraints of the chains associated with conventional time and distance. It is the freedom to go in whatever direction you wish ,simply by changing course. We, who enjoy the vantage point that flight provides, view ourselves and the universe differently than our earth bound neighbors and friends. The rumor is that the time spent in the air is added to your lifespan. Here is to flight, a long life and freedom!"

Becoming a Private Pilot at Eagle Aircraft
Your training comprises of two parts ? flight training and ground school study.
During your ground school, you'll learn bits of "book knowledge" you'll need to be a proficient pilot. Eagle Aircraft utilizes the revolutionary Cessna Computer Based Instruction (CBI) program, so you accomplish you ground training and flight training concurrently.
Flight training takes place in the airplane. You'll learn the skills and gain experience to safely operate an airplane on your own ? and pass your check ride.
In the air you'll learn in new Skyhawks - the best selling single-engine aircraft of all time.
On the ground you'll learn using our state-of-the-art Computer Based Instruction (CBI) program that uses fully interactive graphics and full motion video.
CBI provides a better way to learn. No books to lug around, no hurrying to class, or no cramming before your written exam. You'll learn everything you need to know ? not only to pass your exam, but also to be a knowledgeable, competent pilot. Study wherever you go. At home. At the office. Even while traveling. You'll watch presentations by top aviation educators, see dramatic, enlightening in-flight footage, take interactive quizzes, learn interesting trivia, and prepare for upcoming lessons before you ever climb into the airplane.
Requirements:
Earning your Private Pilot License (PPL)will be one of the most rewarding accomplishments you will achieve. Whether you are flying for recreation, business, or toward a career in aviation, Eagle Aircraft and our experienced instructors will be there to assist you each step of the way.
Earning your PPL is a very individual experience. Each candidate will take their own amount of time to earn the PPL depending on the amount of time you have to devote to your training, your learning aptitude, and weather conditions.
The Federal Aviation Administration has established requirements to earn a Private Pilot License. These minimum requirements are:
- You must be at least 16 for a student certificate and 17 for a private pilot certificate.
- You must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
- You must take a FAA medical exam prior to solo flight.
- You must accomplish 40 hours of Total Flight Time to include: 20 hours with a certified flight instructor and 10 hours of solo time (the other 10 hours can be a mix of dual/solo).
- You must pass a written exam (which you will take right here at Eagle Aircraft) and a Practical Test with an FAA examiner.
Please keep in mind, the hours above are minimum times required by the F.A.A. and the national average to earn the PPL is closer to 65-70hrs of training. At Eagle Aircraft, since we utilize the revolutionary Cessna Computer Based Training Program, our program allows our students to complete their training much closer to the minimum time requirements. If a student can commit to training at least 2 days per week, we estimate around 50 hours of training. Contact us for a personalized estimate!

 | Companion Co-Pilot Course
Eagle Aircraft is now offering a Companion Co-Pilot course to get your flight companion just enough training to help him/her with the basics of controlling an airplane so he/she will enjoy their flights more - and hopefully be better prepared to handle an emergency situation, should one occur. The course will cover basic navigational skills, how to tune and talk on the radio, the instruments in the cockpit, basic flying skills and landings. Since this is a Companion Co-Pilot Course, the student will be flying from the right seat.
All instruction will be perfomed by one of Eagle Aircrafts Certified Flight Instructors and can be accomplished in just a few short days. Contact us for more details on the course or for scheduling. | Accelerated Training Courses
